"Lace" manicure

Ho voluto provare l'effetto pizzo utilizzando un disco konad, invece del pizzo vero... un giorno ci proverò anche con questo.

I wanted to try the "lace" manicure using a konad plate, instead of the true lace ... one day I'll try this, too.

Water marble nail art

Ho scoperto questa tecnica su youtube un po' di tempo fa e l'ho trovata davvero molto carina così ho voluto provarla per la prima volta.

Non è stato facilissimo, su alcune unghie ho dovuto ripetere l'applicazione.

I've discovered this technique on youtube long time ago, I found it very beautiful and so I've decide to try it for the first time.

It wasn't easy, on some nails I'd had to repeat the application.

One plate, one meal

Preparation time: 2 minutes
"Cooking" time: 60 minutes minutes
Total time: about  1 hour

Flower nail art

Prodotti usati:
- smalto bianco
- tip painter nero e rosa
- penna per nail art verde
- dotter o pennellino con punta sottile
- brillantini
- top coat

I used:
- white nail polish
- pink and black tip painters
- dotter or a brush with a thin point
- nail jewels
- top coat

[EN] Pepper cream Bucatini (pasta)

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour (for peppers) + 20 minutes (for boiling and cooking bucatini)
Total time: 100 minutes

Base coat

Fino ad ora ho provato questi due prodotti:

- Super Base

- Base Trattante

entrambi della Mavala. Io mi fido molto dei prodotti curativi di questa marca.. Non so perché, o meglio mi sono sempre trovata bene con questa marca, ma non è per questo, è proprio una cosa inconscia.

Non ricordo bene il prezzo del primo, dovrebbe essere all'incirca di 5,50 euro, il secondo invece

costa un po' di più, 14 euro, ma contiene il doppio del prodotto (10 ml invece che 5ml).

Till now, I've tried these two products

- Super Base
- Barriére-Base coat

both by Mavala. I trust a lot the healing products by this brand .. I do not know why, or better... I have always been happy with this brand, but it's not for this, it's something unconscious.

I don't remember the price of the first, it should be about 5.50 euros, while the second
costs a little more, 14 euros, but contains twice the product (10ml instead of 5ml).

Parto dal secondo, che sto utilizzando da circa un mesetto.

A differenza dell'altro non è incolore, ma nel boccettino risulta bianco; tuttavia, una volta steso non si nota. L'effetto che da me secondo me è migliore rispetto all'altro che è trasparente.

Io per esempio l'ultima volta che ho fatto la french, mi sono dimenticata di passare lo smalto nude!

I start with the second, that I'm using it from about one month.

Unlike the other one it isn't colorless, but in the pot it's white; however, once I apply it I don't notice any colour.

I prefer this product, because I love the nude effect on my nails.

The last time I've done a french manicure, I forgot to apply the nude nail polish!

E' molto più liquido rispetto all'altro, forse anche troppo, nel senso che le prime volte che l'usavo notavo che dopo qualche secondo colava verso i bordi, per cui ho iniziato a fare più attenzione e a prelevare molto meno prodotto.

Per farvi capire, ne ho messo un po' di più del solito e potete vedere nella foto che sul bordo destro è colato, comunque se vi dovesse capitare basta rimuoverlo con qualcosa di appuntito.

*** Aggiornamento: Ho buttato questo prodotto 9 mesi dopo, si era completamente seccato e negli mesi non faceva che lasciare grumi! Non lo ricomprerò assolutamente. Ora sto provando la base della OPI.

It's more liquid than the first product, maybe too liquid, in fact the first times I used it I've noticed that after few seconds it ran towards the edges (you can see this effect in the photo).

It's nothing serious, you can take it away with something sharp or avoid paying attention to use less product.

*** Update: I throw out this product after 9 month, it was completly dry and when I applied there were a lot of lumps.

I will not buy this product again.
Now, I'm testing OPI's base coat.

Il primo purtroppo l'ho finito un mesetto fa, comunque era tipo questo:

I've finished the first product one month ago, so I don't have it anymore, but it was similiar to the one in the photo.

E' incolore, si applica e si asciuga facilmente.

E' rimasto perfetto fino alla fine, non si è seccato e non ha nemmeno cambiato consistenza.

Io la base la uso soprattutto per evitare che gli smalti scuri macchino le unghie e con questo prodotto della Mavala non ho avuto questi problemi; se fa durare di più lo smalto non saprei dirvi sinceramente, non è facile valutare queste cose, perché dovrei fare delle prove senza applicare il top coat, ma senza di questo ci metterei una vita a far asciugare lo smalto.

It was colorless, easy to apply and dry.

It was perfect until the ned, it didn't dry or change the stiffness.

I usually use the base coat to avoid dark nail polishes blot my nails  and with this Mavala product

I don't have problems.

If it does last longer nail polishes honestly I don't know. I think it's not easy to value, because I should make such tests without use top coat, but I can't not use it, because it dry fast the nail polishes. :)

Troppo pigra per cambiare lo smalto/Too lazy for changing my nail polish

Oggi volevo farvi vedere cosa faccio quando ho voglia di cambiare lo smalto che indosso, ma senza togliermelo!

Today, I would like to show what I do when I want to change my nail colour, but I'm too lazy for changing it!


Per esempio, in questa foto indosso lo smalto KIKO n°296:

... con dei glitter verdi e dorati, un po' di smalto trasparente e una spugnetta...

Stamping Nail polishes

Oggi volevo mostrarvi come si comportano alcuni smalti quando li stampate sulle vostre unghie usando i dischi per il nail stamping.
Molti smalti "normali" possono essere usati per questa tecnica, ma non si può generalizzare, nel senso che se per esempio come vedrete lo smalto nero della Pupa è ottimo, non è che tutti gli smalti Pupa sono ottimi, molto dipende dal finish.
Ho pensato di dare un voto da 1 a 5 per i vari smalti:
- 5: perfetto
- 1: pessimo


Ho assegnato un voto alto se lo smalto è coprente anche se il disegno non è venuto benissimo, perché dipende anche dalla manualità.
Se i piccoli dettagli non vengono bene, ho abbassato il voto.




Today I want to show you how some nail polish behave when you stamp it on your nails using an image plate.
"Normal" nail polishes can be used for this technique, but it's not possible to generalize, because for example you'll see that a black nail polish by Pupa is good, but it doesn't mean that all nail by polishes by this brand are good, lots depend on the finish.
I tought to do give a rating from 1 to 5:
- 5: perfect
- 1: bad



I gave a high rating to a nail polish if it's pigmented even if the draw isn't perfect, beacuse it depends on my manual ability.
If litlle details aren't come out good, I've low the rate.

Lo smalto giallo e violetto non l'ho comparato con altri smalti, perché non ne ho di colori simili... ve li solo swatchati, sono entrambi perfetti.


I din't compare yellow and violet Konad nail polish, because I don't have something equal.
I've only swatched it, they are both perfect.
